Hey there, I’m Ray! I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 15 years, but my journey started long before that. Growing up in Southern California, I spent more time in the ocean than anywhere else. Surfing and the rhythms of the sea have always been my grounding force, my source of healing, and my biggest inspiration.

After working in the fast-paced salons of OC and LA — plus many years on sets like America’s Next Top Model, Wilhelmina Models, and BravoTV — I almost walked away from it all. The industry felt like too much of the same: too much drama, too much vanity. I knew there was so much more to the beauty industry than just that.

As I deepened my own holistic and spiritual journey, my work started to change too. I found myself wanting to create something more meaningful and intimate for my clients. Something that yes, made women look beautiful, but also made women feel empowered and deeply cared for. I wanted to support my clients in my chair and through the many waves of life we get to experience together as stylist / client.

Now, for the past 10 years, I’ve focused on crafting holistic services and surf-inspired hair that mimics what nature does naturally.

My SurfHair sessions are more than just hair appointments — they’re meant to make you look and feel like you just got back from an epic surf trip. They’re a moment of deep self-care where I work with each person one-on-one, creating a personalized, laid-back experience that’s about slowing down and connecting. I’m all about keeping things intentional, natural, and, most importantly, healthy. I use only non-toxic products and color lines that are as clean as possible, so your beauty routine can support you in more ways than one.

I’m a color and extensions specialist, but what I love most is being able to drop in and connect with my clients in a deeper way. I offer my services as full packages, verses a la carte options, so that I can give you the full time and attention you deserve — without the stress of having to pick and choose what you need.

I’m a surfer girl at heart, an artist by nature, and a ceremonialist by spirit. Every moment I spend with my clients is an honoring of you — of your beauty, your journey.
